This is almost certainly considered a win.
Multiple people have reported ordered a digital edition PS5 only to find a disc version in the box. So far, there’s reports of this happening in multiple regions on both Reddit and Twitter.

It’s unclear how this would happen as it’s presumed that there’d be two completely different processing lines for each console. As far as I can tell, the receivers of these items haven’t been too unhappy with getting the disc drive for free.
I’d love to know if this has happened to anyone in Australia, so let us know in the comments below if it has.
