UPDATE: That was fast. Since the initial announcement Square Enix has fixed the Final Fantasy Origin demo. If you already had it installed, you’ll need to download an update, if you’re new to downloading it from the PlayStation Store, you can grab it HERE and it’ll work out of the gate.
If you have already downloaded the #StrangerofParadise #FinalFantasy Origin Trial Version, the issue will be resolved by applying the update.
For those newly downloading the Trial Version, you will be able to play it as-is upon download. We apologise to have kept you waiting.

It’s been 36 hours since the Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin PS5 demo was announced, dropped onto the PlayStation Store and didn’t work for a single person due to the files being corrupt, and Square Enix has finally acknowledged the fact that it’s completely broken.
In a tweet, the company said that it is aware that people are experiencing issues and that they have found the issue and it should be fixed soon.
We are aware that users are still experiencing issues with the Trial Version of #StrangerofParadise #FinalFantasy Origin. We have found the cause of the issue and it should be fixed soon. We will keep you updated.

“We are aware that users are still experiencing issues with the Trial Version of #StrangerofParadise #FinalFantasy Origin. We have found the cause of the issue and it should be fixed soon. We will keep you updated.”
I still can’t quite comprehend how not only did this demo make it onto the store to begin with, but it’s remained on the PlayStation Store for this long without being rectified at all. Hopefully soon.
Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is an action RPG that’s made in collaboration with Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden/Nioh) from Koei Tecmo. It’s set to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC in 2022.
