Publisher 2K and developer Visual Concepts have released an early teaser of their “Hit List” of improvements and innovations in next year’s WWE 2K22, ahead of a bigger reveal in January.
The roughly 2-minute trailer calls out a top-10 list of features to get fans pumped for a new generation of wrestling game, from a rundown of new and returning modes including MyGM, MyFACTION and MyRISE to an improved creation suite and a new WWE 2K showcase.
Crucially, the studio is promising a redesigned gameplay engine with new controls, stunning visuals and immersive presentation to elevate the wrestling action to new heights. The game uses the same industry-leading process to scan and animate wrestlers as the NBA franchise, while the more dynamic presentation will take players closer to the action and give them a more authentic WWE experience.
WWE 2K22 is slated for a release in March 2022, and we’ll know more as further details are revealed in January 2022.
