Gameloft has announced Disney Dreamlight Valley which is a brand new adventure sim game coming to PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2023 with an early access version of the game launching on all platforms soon, for those who are either Xbox Game Pass members or those that purchase a founders pack on other platforms.
The game allows you to travel to Dreamlight Valley, where you’ll meet loads of Disney and Pixar characters. Going off the gameplay trailer, it seems similar to Animal Crossing in the sense that you’ll get to create your character, form bonds with the characters that you choose whilst also building your own little house at the same time. There’s also fishing with Goofy and harvesting fruit and vegetables with Wall-E. There seems to be a central story in place too, which you’ll need to progress in order to solve a mystery.
Just a couple of the characters featured in the trailer are from The Lion King, Wall-E, Toy Story, Moana, Frozen, Lilo & Stitch The Little Mermaid and obviously Mickey and friends. Disney has already confirmed that new characters and events will launch in games alongside Disney and Pixar movies and events.
