YouTuber DIY Perks has just built an incredibly custom “PS5 Slim” console, beating Sony to the punch with a seriously slimline machine that not only looks gorgeous but actually runs cooler than the consumer model.
This feat of engineering was achieved by not only adding a customer water-cooling solution but removing the internal power supply and making it external, doing away with a huge contributor to the original machine’s bulk and heat.
The 30-minute video below shows off the process in tearing down and rebuilding the PS5 in its new form, and it’s well worth a watch to see just how impressive this mod truly is:
