During Gamescom Opening Night Live, we got a reveal trailer for Where Winds Meet, a gorgeous open-world role-playing game that is set throughout the Northern Song Dynasty in China.
Unlike other trailers shown throughout the presentation, we did see a bit of gameplay for Where Winds Meet and it looks as though the hero character encounters all manner of legends from Chinese folklore, engaging in the martial arts and swordplay.
There was no release window given during the trailer, though we expect that this game might still be early in development at Everstone Studios. So, given their obscurity and how the game looks at present, it could be a couple of years away yet.
It’s definitely one to be watching going forward.
