Destroy All Humans 2! Reprobed Is Getting A Last-Gen Release Without Multiplayer

Destroy all platforms.

You’ve seen plenty of last-gen games being ported to current-gen platforms after the fact, but how often have you seen them go the other way?

That’s exactly what THQ Nordic is doing with Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed, which launched exclusively on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC last year. In a rather tongue-in-cheek manner, it’s announced that the game is getting a release on PS4 and Xbox One on June 27th, 2023 following fan outcry.

The amusingly-named Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed: Single Player will feature the full game as well as the Challenge Accepted DLC, Skin Pack DLC and skins from the previous Destroy All Humans! release, but will omit the multiplayer options entirely. Presumably that was a necessary compromise for the game to work on last-gen consoles in the way the studio wants, but it’s at least approaching it with a sense of humour befitting the subject matter, based on the title and marketing of this new-old version.

We gave Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed an admirable 7/10 in our original review, saying “When looking at the original release, Destroy All Humans 2! improved on its predecessor in almost every way. For the most part, this rings true with Reprobed, with the visual and mechanical overhaul bringing it into the modern scene. Still, the rough technical issues and poorly aged missions may have newcomers shying away.”
