The Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores Launch Trailer Teases Aloy’s Biggest Fight Yet

City of Devils

Horizon Forbidden West’s big, PS5-exclusive expansion, Burning Shores, is out next week on April 19th and that means we now have a shiny new launch trailer to set the scene before the new content drops.

The Burning Shores launch trailer might only be a minute long, but it’s already packed with exciting implications – not least the closing shot of Aloy staring down an active Horus machine, the enormous and should-be-dormant titans that played a key role in the apocalyptic events preceding the world of Horizon as it is now.

Fans will know just how big of a deal is going to be both from a narrative and gameplay perspective, but it looks like Aloy’s not going to be ill-equipped for it. In the trailer we get another look at one of the new machine types, the Waterwing, which is able to carry Aloy both in the air and underwater. We also see Aloy wielding Zenith weaponry which should hopefully be the edge she needs in this untamed post-apoc version of L.A. There are new characters, returning faces from Forbidden West and even Gilden, who last appeared in the Frozen Wilds DLC for the first game.
