Concord, the new 5v5 multiplayer hero shooter from PlayStation’s Firewalk studio, is now inviting all players to participate in its open beta, giving them a taste of the game via a curated selection of modes and features along with all of its roster of launch characters to try out.
The open beta runs from now until July 22nd, on both PS5 and PC, and features more content than last weekend’s Early Access beta, adding in a new map for a total of five along with a new mode for a total of four. Players will be able to try out all 16 launch characters, and see the very first of the game’s cinematic vignettes introducing the world and the Northstar crew’s stories.
Those who participate in the beta will also receive bonuses in the game at launch including a weapon charm and player card.

Our very own Ewan spent a bunch of time with Concord in its Early Access Beta last weekend and came away suitably impressed with the game as a more approachable flavour of hero shooter, saying, “The game feels much more approachable for those that have dabbled in hero shooters but grew intimidated by the complexity of the meta. The core mechanics of hero shooters are still present, but cycling through characters makes for a changed pace I think most would enjoy. It’s well-rounded, nicely polished, with a generous assortment of unique but balanced characters.”
