The Astro Bot launch trailer was shown off today ahead of the launch next week, and it’s a lot to take in within a two minute period, but the number one moment that caught my eye was Astro having access to an iconic PlayStation weapon.
As seen at the 1:30 mark, Astro gets access to the Leviathan Axe, and he’s also sporting the Kratos beard as well. We then see him taking on enemies in what looks to be a God of War inspired level. We know that Astro Bot is all about getting access to different gadgets, so it’ll be interesting to what else is on offer.
I did suspect that this would be my case in my preview, which ended with a special level being unlocked with Kratos and Atreus, so it’ll be interesting to see how this plays into the rest of the game and what other fun little PlayStation weapons we might get access to along the way.
