UPDATE: Second chance emails have gone out for JB Hi-Fi’s PlayStation 30th Anniversary ballot after people presumably opted to not purchase their original offers.
The emails states: “As part of our second-chance draw, you’ve have been selected to pre-order as part of our Perks exclusive PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection pre-order ballot.”
ORIGINAL STORY: It’s finally happened. Emails for the JB HI-Fi PlayStation 30th anniversary ballot have gone out to people this morning.
At the time of writing, we’ve had people tell us that they got selected for the DualSense controller, PlayStation Portal, PS5 Pro and PS5 Slim, but it’s safe to assume that all five products have been accounted for at this point with a lot of people getting emailed this morning.
As expected, it seems as though people are only getting selected for one item, even if they chose all 5, so it’s not clear how this is being chosen. As JB Hi-Fi said, they are then able to pick a date in which they will receive an SMS at their registered number to purchase their item on that selected day.
We’ll keep you posted if any more units come available if people don’t go through with their winning ballot entry or any other retailer magically gets stock.
