UPDATE: We’ve known that HBO Max would be coming to Australia for some time now, and Warner Bros discovery has today confirmed that it will launch in Australia on March 31st.
It shouldn’t be a huge surprise but HBO shows such as The Last Of Us season 2 (launching April 14th) as well as And Just Like That, House of The Dragon, Euphoria, Peacemaker, IT: Welcome to Derry and more will all be exclusive to HBO Max.
It’s been confirmed that Foxtel subscribers with a compatible IQ box will get access to the Max Basic plan with ads for free for at least a certain amount of time.
ORIGINAL STORY: The highly anticipated second season of HBO’s The Last Of Us will now premiere on April 14th. It’s unclear where it will air here in Australia.
The announcement was made on social media along with three new posters one each featuring Joel, Ellie and Abby along with the tagline “every path has a price”.
The second season of The Last Of Us will follow part of the second season of the game, which introduces Abby who is played by Kaitlyn Dever who is currently in the news because she plays Belle Gibson in Netflix’s Apple Cidar Vinegar.
The season will last seven episodes and will also introduce several other new characters including Jesse, Dina, Manny, Mel and other popular characters.
