After being officially confirmed earlier this year, Horizon Hunters Gathering is running a closed playtest this weekend on both PlayStation 5 and PC.
At the time of writing, it appears the beta is limited to Europe and North America, so we won’t be able to sample the co-op spin-off. However, it’s not like we’ll be without anything to play as the Horizon playtest, in an odd move, directly overlaps Marathon’s big pre-launch server slam that was confirmed during the recent State of Play.
Although the playtest will run from February 27th to March 1st, it appears that it will be limited to specific times. Europe’s time is a three-hour block between 7 PM and 10 PM CET, whereas North America’s lands between 4 PM and 7 PM PST.
As detailed in PlayStation’s statement, the beta will include three playable characters in Axle, Rem, and Sun, as well as two of the game’s modes, Machine Incursion and Cauldron Descent.
For those in eligible regions, you’re able to sign up now via the PlayStation Beta Program.
