Dragon Ball FighterZ Is Getting An Epic Collector’s Edition

During Microsoft’s presentation at E3, 2017, Bandai Namco revealed the first trailer for their upcoming 2.5D fighting game, Dragon Balls FighterZ. Now, just a few months later, we’ve been treated to a brand new trailer, a release window, and dates for the game’s closed beta on Xbox One, PlayStation 4.

First, let’s start with the new trailer;  with the resurrection of Android 16 and the invasion of the mysterious army corps, the super warriors start to fall in Dragon Ball FighterZ’s story mode. Watch the trailer, direct from Gamescom, below:

Additionally, we now know that the game is scheduled for release sometime in early 2018. While we don’t have an exact date just yet, we do know that it will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and possibly the Nintendo Switch, though producer Tomoko Hiroki has said that the developer is focusing on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s Switch version first. Beta signups go live tomorrow and the beta itself will commence on September 16th and continue through 18 in designated 3-hour time slots (Click here for more information).

Though we don’t know what local retailers have in-store for us just yet, we’re certainly hoping to get that super sweet Collectorz edition, complete with Goku diorama and gorgeous full-colour steelbook. The trailer adds that by pre-ordering Dragon Ball FighterZ, you can unlock Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta early, as well as two exclusive lobby avatars.
