Microsoft Is Promising New Accessory And Game Reveals At Gamescom

Microsoft slyly announced their Gamescom plans overnight and whilst it looks like they won’t be having a traditional press conference, they’re set to host a special edition of Inside Xbox (their Nintendo Direct styled show).

Whilst Inside Xbox has been a mixed bag to date, it looks like they’ll be going all out for this special iteration. They’ve said that they’ll be revealing all new accessories and maybe even a few surprises (obviously pointing to game reveals).

Originally, Microsoft said that they’d be revealing new hardware, but they’ve since changed the post which now has taken the wording “new hardware” out of the description.

The original wording was “Tune in on Tuesday, August 21, at 4:30 p.m. CEST (7:30 a.m. PDT) for lots of news, all-new Xbox hardware and accessories” but now says “Tune in on Tuesday, August 21, at 4:30 p.m. CEST (7:30 a.m. PDT) for lots of news, new Xbox One bundles and accessories”

Microsoft has shown recently that they’re looking to go into new areas, with the reveal of the Accessibility controller and the like. It’s also been heavily speculated that they’ve been working on a new Elite controller, which would definitely make a lot of people happy.

Gamescom takes place in the last week of August. Press Start will be there to bring you all the latest from the show floor.
