Target Is Cancelling Some Xbox Series X Pre-Orders A Week After They Were Placed

We’ve been informed by multiple readers and our own Brodie Gibbons that Target is now sending out cancellation emails to some of those that pre-ordered the Xbox Series X with them.

The email reads:

Unfortunately, your order has been cancelled.

Your order has been cancelled due to insufficient stock. The payment of $749 taken for order *** is in the process of being returned to you. Please allow up to seven business days for this process to be finalised.

Obviously, this is fairly rough given these orders were placed almost a full week ago. 24-48 hours is fair enough, but no doubt this has left many hopeful Xbox Series X owners with not a lot of options in the lead-up to release.

Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of options to pre-order and get a console on day one now. If you’re up for potentially using Xbox All Access with Telstra, they might have some wave 2 stock left for December.

Here’s Every Xbox Series X Accessory And Game You Can Pre-Order Right Now
