Barbie Now Has Her Own Official Xbox Series S Console And It’s Up For Grabs

I WANT IT.

Xbox is going all-in on celebrating the upcoming release of Barbie, the upcoming feature film based on Mattel’s iconic doll, solidifying that among the many professions, hobbies and passions that Barbie has she’s also a massive gamer!

To kick things off, two new vehicles are now available in Forza Horizon 5 – Barbie’s very own 1956 Chevrolet Corvette EV Corvette, complete with Barbie pink paint job, and Ken’s 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup. These are free for everyone who play Forza Horizon 5, all you’ll need to do to nab these two new cars and ride in style is to claim them from the in-game Message Centre and they’ll appear in your garage.

Some of the Forza team will also be hosting a special livestream on July 14th where Barbie fans can learn more about what it means to be a game developer and watch some of the Forza creators race in their own game using the special Barbie cars.

Perhaps most excitingly though, Xbox has crafted a heap of real-life promotional items that fans can get a chance to win, including 10 different Xbox-themed Barbie dolls, Babie-themed Xbox Wireless Controller faceplates, and a gorgeous custom Barbie Xbox Series S console housed within its very own Barbie dream house.

Like all good custom Xbox consoles and other promo goodies, these won’t be available to purchase in stores but will instead be given away as part of an international sweepstakes. Fans will be able to take a shot at winning the console and controller faceplates starting on July 10 at the Xbox Twitter page and at Microsoft Rewards. The Xbox blog post mentions a giveaway for the dolls but doesn’t yet specify when or how keen Barbie fans will be able to get in with a chance to score one.

Barbie will hit Australian theatres on July 20 with advance screenings beginning on July 19 at participating cinemas.
