Xbox has revealed that it’s introducing the ability for players to stream their gameplay to Discord, building on the Discord chat integration already featured on the console that was introduced last year.
Discord streaming is already rolling out to folks in the Alpha Skip Ahead and Alpha Rings of Xbox Insider for early testing, but Microsoft says in its blog post that the new feature will be getting a broader rollout for all users “soon.”
The new streaming feature looks like it’ll be easy enough to use, simply by navigating to your desired Discord channel through the guide and clicking on “Stream your game” with more detailed instructions on using Discord streaming and getting support for Xbox Insiders shared by Xbox in a blog post below:
How to stream your games to your Discord friends
To get started, you can join voice channels from your Discord servers directly from your Xbox console when your Discord account is linked. To try it, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, scroll to Parties & chats, and select Discord. Then scroll through your available Discord servers and pick a voice channel and start streaming!
We’re excited to hear your feedback as you try it out and just as excited for what the future holds for Xbox and Discord!
