Xbox kicked off 2025 with an Xbox Developer Direct that highlighted what’s coming in the first half of the year and there’s a lot to be excited about.
DOOM THE DARK AGES GOT A RELEASE DATE AND A GORGEOUS COLLECTOR’S EDITION
It was confirmed that Doom: The Dark Ages will be releasing on May 15th which is much sooner than expected. A Collector’s Edition for the game with a 12-inch Doom Slayer was also revealed and you can watch the gameplay sizzle trailer below:
NINJA GAIDEN 4 WAS ANNOUNCED
In an announcement that nobody saw coming, the first new Ninja Gaiden game in a decade is on the way. It’s called Ninja Gaiden 4 and it’s releasing later this year. It’s being created by Team Ninja and Platinum Games in partnership with Xbox Game Studios publishing and will follow a new protagonist who visits a devastated Tokyo.

If that wasn’t enough from you, the 2008 Ninja Gaiden 2 got a full unreal engine 5 remaster and it’s out today and looks fantastic.
SOUTH OF MIDNIGHT GOT A RELEASE DATE
South Of Midnight is also coming a lot sooner than expected. The third-person action adventure game from Compulsion Games is coming on April 8th 2025 and we also got a new look at the game below:
