Though we’re sure a fancy new controller is right around the corner, Xbox is beginning its 25th anniversary celebrations with a collaboration with the soft drink brand Fanta, where it’ll slap iconic characters and franchises onto cans and bottles with the promise of in-game rewards and prizes.

According to the Xbox Wire post, the promotion is set to begin on April 6, and fans will be able to scan QR codes on the can or bottle’s packaging to enter the draw to win Xbox prizes, take part in interactive challenges, or redeem in-game rewards.

We can expect to see the likes of Halo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, and, ahead of its launch in May, Forza Horizon 6 taking part in the promotion.

Alongside the tie-in, Fanta is also introducing a special edition flavour called Fanta Crimson, which is a sour cherry flavour reserved for the Diablo IV can specifically. The other flavours include:

  • Forza Horizon 6 – Grape
  • Call of Duty – Orange
  • Halo – Pineapple
  • World of Warcraft – Strawberry

While players can complete challenges for the chance to win prizes, such as an ROG Xbox Ally, an Xbox Series X 1TB, wireless controllers, and a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, there are in-game rewards to be found, including:

  • Halo: Campaign Evolved – The Master Chief’s Fantastic Spartan Armor [Redeemable beginning at launch]
  • World of Warcraft – Fantastical Goblin Waveshredder Mount and more WoW rewards
  • Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 – Tactical Orange Calling Card and 1-Hour 2XP Level Token
  • Diablo IV – Citron Whirl Town Portal
  • Forza Horizon 6 – 1966 Toyota Sports 800 Fanta Edition [Redeemable beginning at launch]

As we’re awaiting local confirmation, we’re not sure whether the aforementioned promotion extends to ANZ, though we expect we’ll learn more in the coming week.
