In spectacular fashion, Sony have announced that Crash is making a return. Crash Bandicoot: A Fool’s End will release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 in 2020. Sony felt that due to the fact that the Crash Bandicoot series had amassed over 50 million sales spanning 18 games, it was an incredibly obvious decision to announce the release of a brand new Crash game. Even more stunning is the fact that Crash will be going back to where it all started. Naughty Dog will be developing the game, which is said to revamp the series beyond Wumpa Fruits, Nitro crates & the evil DR Cortex.
A representative from Naughty Dog had the below to say.
After spending so many years with Crash Bandicoot he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don’t take lightly – this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for.
The news comes as a massive shock due to the fact that SCEA president, Shaun Layden trolled Crash fans by wearing a Crash Bandicoot T-Shirt at a PlayStation press conference in December last year. Obviously, unlike Layden’s cruel & disappointing act, this announcement of Crash: A Fool’s End couldn’t be anymore realistic.
