Watch Cast Of The Assassin’s Creed Movie Stumble Their Way Through The Project Interview

The Assassin’s Creed is possibly the largest video game property to every make its way to the big screen. Inevitably, this was always going to lead to mainstream media coverage. Michael Fassbender and Marion Cottilard tonight appeared on Channel Ten’s The Project but the interview was incredibly cringeworthy.

At first, the panel asked the two cast members about their favourite video game franchises to have them respond “Tetris” and “Angry Birds” before humming the Tetris theme song for one-quarter of the interview.

The panel then questioned the cast about the differences between the game’s story and the movie (a completely valid question). Fassbender and Cottilard looked at each other before Fassbender stumbled his way through a response that didn’t really answer the question.

Helliar then spoke about one of his favourite videogame franchises in Leisure Suit Larry. This left the cast members puzzled as they’d never heard of the popular gaming franchise.

The Project should be commended for asking some challenging questions relating back to the Assassin’s Creed heritage, but unfortunately, the answers left a lot to be desired.

The Assassin’s Creed Movie is in theatres on New Year’s Day.
