With Disney’s big D23 showcase still ongoing, we’re getting a constant drip feed of exciting news from the House of Mouse.
Marvel makes up an enormous chunk of the upcoming slate and, as such, there have been plenty of announcements coming out of Kevin Fiege and the likes at the expo, including the confirmation of the X-Men coming to the MCU along with who’ll play them.
The X-Men Are Coming To The MCU
After Sadie Sink’s appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it hasn’t taken long for Marvel to lift the lid on when the rest of the mutants will be gracing the big screen.
The X-Men reboot will be directed by Thunderbolts director Jake Schreier and is set for release on May 5, 2028.

- Samara Weaving – Emma Frost

And in a video surprise, Adam Driver appeared on screen to confirm his role as Nathaniel Essex, also known as Mister Sinister.
Although a completely different interpretation, we’ve also recently seen Nathaniel Essex show-up as a main character in Marvel’s Wolverine, portrayed by Troy Baker.
Avengers: Doomsday Got An Exciting New Trailer
Just when I thought Marvel might never hit the lofty heights of Infinity War and Endgame again, they continue to cook with the build-up to Doomsday.
The trailer gives a bit of context to Victor Von Doom as a character and why he’s motivated to prune these heroes who are living borrowed lives, as he says.

There was also a cute video featuring Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, who can be heard shouting from off-screen.
Although it certainly doesn’t confirm their involvement in the film; on the back of Reynolds showing up at the San Diego Comic-Con panel in full costume, I think signs are pointing to yes.
We Also Got A New Look At VisionQuest
Billed as the closing chapter of a trilogy that includes Wandavision and Agatha All Along, VisionQuest is the Vision-led TV series coming to Disney+ this October.
Paul Bettany returns as Vision, as does James Spader as Ultron, as the pair explore the nature of humanity together within a dream of Vision’s making.
