Throughout the day, we’ve had a heap of announcements dropping across the internet from the big D23 2026 showcase.
We’ve already seen the reveal of a Kingdom Hearts anime, Kingdom Hearts 4’s release window being confirmed, as well as a few announcements from Marvel about their upcoming slate, including a new X-Men movie.
Here are all of the other new films, sequels or otherwise, revealed by Disney and Pixar throughout the day.
New Footage From The New Simpsons Movie Was Shown
Despite the film being set for release in September next year, Dana Walden, the president and CCO of Walt Disney, gave fans in the audience a sneak peek at the movie.
It was claimed the decision to show the clearly in-progress footage was on insistence from Bart himself.
Zootopia 3 Has Seemingly Been Fast-Tracked By Disney
The Zootopia franchise has been one of the things to take over my household this year, so knowing I’ve got a third one to look forward to is certainly something.
As announced by stars Ginnifer Goodwin and He Huy Quan, the gang, including Jason Bateman, are getting back together for a third film.
There’s no current timeline on release, but it’s coming.
The Incredibles 3 Is Coming Out In 2028
It’s said that the kids will be more a feature in this film as Violet and Dash attempt to step out on their own.
The film is expected to serve as the conclusion to the trilogy and will release in just under two years, in the US Summer, which places it between June and August.
We’re Also Going Back To The Land Of The Dead
I’m particularly excited about this one, Coco is low-key one of the best Pixar films ever produced so the fact it’s finally getting a sequel is great news.
Set just a few years after the original, the film will see Coco return to the land of the dead and will once again feature Ernesto de la Cruz, with Benjamin Bratt reprising his role. It’s set to release in November 2029.
Ghost Market Looks Like A Cute Supernatural Romp
Aside from the cute self-recorded, found footage look to the reveal trailer, not much is known as yet about Ghost Market, other than it’s set to release for Pixar in 2028.
We Got Another Look At Gatto, The Next Film In The Pixar Slate
Set to release on March 5 next year, Gatto stars Mark Ruffalo and Laurence Fishburne and is the story about a black cat named Nero, living in Venice, wondering whether he’s on the right path.
It’s the next project from Enrico Casarosa, the director of Luca.
We’re Getting Live-Action Angel In Lilo & Stitch 2
Despite Moana’s live-action iteration, complete with the worst wig in cinema history on The Rock, bombing spectacularly, it hasn’t slowed Disney’s push of adapting all of their animated properties.
Lilo & Stitch is getting a live-action sequel, which, as fans know, will see the introduction of Angel. It’s expected to land in theaters in 2028, aloha!
Romy and Michele 2 Is Coming To Hulu
This is surprising? This one slipped beneath my radar, but it’s a good bit of nostalgia bait.
We Got A New Teaser Of The Bluey Movie
This one, I feel, is going to be huge. There’s few kids brands in the world right now bigger than Bluey, and it’s heartening to see the IP explodes from our shores.
It’s releasing in cinemas next year on August 6.
There’s Another Ice Age Sequel In The Works
I feel like these things just keep on coming, no idea what number we’re up to but it’s nice that Queen Latifah and Denis Leary will be back on the big screen, I guess.
Ice Age: Boiling Point will be in cinemas February 5 next year.
Tangled Is The Next Disney IP Making The Live-Action Leap
It was revealed that a live-action version of Tangled is currently being filmed in Spain. It’s set to star Teagan Croft as Rapunzel, Milo Manheim as Flynn, and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel.
The film is set to release in cinemas March 31, 2028.
There’s An Oswald Mini-Series Coming To Disney+
Fans at D23 got an exclusive look at the upcoming Oswald the Rabbit mini-series that’s currently being produced for Disney+.
The three-part series is set to arrive on the service in February next year, and director Jon Favreau has suggested the series will rely on traditional hand-drawn animation.
