Santa Monica Studio has announced that it will be adding a New Game Plus option to the award-winning God of War Ragnarök in roughly Q2 next year.
While that’s about as much information as we have, based on the below tweet, it should be pretty safe to assume that it’ll function in much the same way as the New Game Plus option added to 2018’s God of War a few months after its release. In that game, players could carry over their skills, equipment upgrades and other inventory when starting a new save after having completed the main game. The new game would also feature extra items and increased difficulty including some new enemy behaviours to contend with.
We know many of you have been asking, so we’re happy to confirm that New Game Plus will be coming to #GodofWarRagnarok in Spring 2023!

God of War Ragnarök was also recently updated to include a Photo Mode, something it was sorely missing at launch.
We gave God of War Ragnarök a 9.5/10 in our review, saying “God of War Ragnarok is a triumph. Santa Monica Studio has successfully taken everything that was great about the last game and amplified it while correcting just about every problem area and then some.”
Yet to pick the game up for yourself? Amazon currently has the PS5 version for $89 and the PS4 version for $78 with free shipping.
