Bargain Guide – AFL 23

The cheapest copy of AFL 23 starting with local retailers and finishing off with digital-only prices. We will update with new & special prices as they come in up until launch day on May 4th.

The AFL series gets another refresh with Big Ant Studios back on the job after a decade on the bench, promising a boost to quality similar to their well-regarded Cricket series. AFL 23 releases for PS5, PS4 and PC on May 4th, with the Xbox version currently delayed until “mid to late June.”

The Xbox version features Smart Delivery while the PS4 version has a free upgrade to PS5 available. JB Hi-Fi has a “Get this game Free when you trade 2 selected PS5, Xbox Series X or Switch games” deal happening as well.

While there isn’t great visibility currently on physical retailers or the digital versions of AFL 23, we’ll have our eyes out and update this article as things change.

We recently learned that, Aalong with the expected inclusions, such as the presence of every active AFL and AFLW league team, this iteration of the official AFL video game will be the first to include Pro Team. Although details are scarce at this stage, the trailer suggests that Pro Team might be the AFL equivalent of Ultimate Team, a card-based, team-building money printing machine that all of the latest FIFA games were built around.

Of all of the fan requested modes, Pro Team is certainly the most sought after and to see it integrated is exciting.

The game’s Launch Trailer also shows off a lot of the game’s other cool inclusions, including quarter-time briefs by coaches like Alastair Clarkson and familiar celebrations from Charlie Cameron’s motorcycle to Duursma’s rock star bow and arrow routine. You can watch it below:
