Nintendo did a massive deep dive on the newest Super Smash Bros. game for the Switch during their Nintendo direct, and boldly proclaimed that every fighter who has appeared in a Super Smash Bros. game would be playable in Ultimate.
While you’ll only start the game with eight or so characters, you’ll eventually be able to unlock the entire roster through various challenges and the like.
For those who might not remember or who didn’t play all of the Smash Bros. games, this confirms pretty much all of the following characters, that we’ve compiled together into this handy list.
Obviously Nintendo may announce more characters that’ll join the roster at a later date, much like they have for Ridley, Daisy and the Inkling kids, but for now here’s who you can expect to battle with come December.
