Assassin's Creed Showcase Everything Announced

Everything Announced At The Assassin’s Creed Showcase

Loads of new games announced!

Ubisoft has absolutely blown the lid off of Assassin’s Creed this morning in the first Assassin’s Creed Showcase. The company announced a slew new Assassin’s Creed games and you can read all about them below:

Assassin's Creed Roadmap

ASSASSIN’S CREED MIRAGE IS TAKING IT BACK TO WHERE IT ALL STARTED

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is set set in Baghdhad and it’s described as a tribute to early Assassin’s Creed games. It takes things back to where it all started with the game being a narrative driven action adventure game that focuses on parkour and stealth assassinations, without the many RPG elements that were featured in Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla.

It’s releasing in 2023 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.

ASSASSIN’S CREED IS FINALLY HEADING TO FEUDAL JAPAN

It’s finally happening. It was revealed that the next flagship Assassin’s Creed game after Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is a game currently titled Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red and it will take the franchise to Feudal Japan and let you live out your shin-obi fantasy.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec (AC: Odyssey) under the creative direction of Jonathan Dumont. It was mentioned that it is a flagship mainline Action RPG, so we’re not sure about size of the game, but it does sound like it’s closer to the likes of Odyssey more-so than Mirage.

ASSASSIN’S CREED CODENAME HEXE IS SOMETHING TOTALLY NEW AND SPOOKY

Ubisoft also revealed Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe, which sounds like it’ll be the next flagship title after Codename Red.

Ubisoft Montreal (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla) is developing the game with Clint Hocking (Far Cry 2/Watch Dogs Legion) serving as Creative Director.

It was said that the game is a very different type of Assassin’s Creed game, and whilst nothing else was said about the game, the reveal trailer definitely gave off witchcraft vibes, and going off the name, it feels safe to make that assumption too.

ASSASSIN’S CREED: INFINITY IS THE NEW HOME OF AC GAMES

Assassin’s Creed: Infinity will act as a hub for all future Assassin’s Creed games including Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe (Witchcraft) and Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red (Feudal Japan).

It was said that Assassin’s Creed: Infinity will be the single entry point for all things Assassin’s Creed, with players able to explore an animus to choose which experience they want to have.

Multiplayer was also mentioned too in the sense that it was said that the team were looking at how they can create standalone multiplayer Assassin’s Creed experiences that live within Assassin’s Creed: Infinity.

ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA IS GETTING ONE LAST UPDATE

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting one last update later this year aptly called “The Last Update”. It will tie up a bunch of loose ends in the game for a number of key characters and it seems like it’ll be the perfect send off before we get to Assassin’s Creed: Mirage and Assassin’s Creed Infinity

ASSASSIN’S CREED IS GETTING A MOBILE OPEN-WORLD GAME

The first open-world Assassin’s Creed game has been revealed for mobile and it’s currently called Codename Jade.

The game is set in Ancient China (215 BCE) and features all of the iconic Assassin’s Creed gameplay mechanics including combat, assassinating and eagle vision. You’ll also be able to parkour across iconic Chinese locations such as the Great Wall of China.

NETFLIX IS BACKING ASSASSIN’S CREED IN A BIG WAY

It was already revealed that Netflix is creating a new Assassin’s Creed show and it was said that it was too soon to reveal any information about that, but Ubisoft also revealed that another new Assassin’s Creed mobile game is in development for Netflix Games.
