Bethesda has hidden some mysterious objects in The Evil Within 2 and the most awesome thing about them is the fact that they are objects from other Bethesda games.
Dishonored, Quake, Wolfenstein, Fallout, Doom, Elder Scrolls, Prey and The Evil Within (OG) all have items that you can find across a number of different chapters and locations.
MYSTERIOUS MASK – DISHONORED
Available in Chapter 3: You can find the Mask in one of the derailed trains along the western edge of the Union Residential District. More specifically, it is the second car just past the overturned van.
MYSTERIOUS WEAPON – QUAKE
Available in Chapter 3: You can find this one on the eastern side of the Union Residential District. You’ll need to find the woodshed which is just south of the Szilard House Inn and climb the ladder. You’ll then find some boards which you can use to walk across to the house next door. The Weapon is all the way in the front corner of the roof.
MYSTERIOUS MACHINE – WOLFENSTEIN
Available in Chapter 3: You can find this one in the enclosure outside the Tredwell Trucking Warehouse. You’ll find it in the back of a delivery truck. You’ll know it’s the right one when you see that it’s sitting in overgrown grass and also right next to the fence on the east side. You’ll find it behind the crate in the truck.
MYSTERIOUS BOBBLEHEAD – FALLOUT
Available in Chapter 6: You’ll find this one when you past the Watcher for the first time (in the facilities storage room). It will reappear and grab you when you try to leave the second storage room but you’ll escape the Watcher’s grasp. You then need to go back into the room and then go all the way to the right to find the Bobblehead in between two crates.
MYSTERIOUS ACTION FIGURE – DOOM
Available in Chapter 7: You’ll find this one on the south end of the Union Business District. You’ll need to tune into the Residual Memory of the fallen solder named Stevens. You then have to take the storage room key from her corpse and then head around the corner. You need to look into a big blue waste bin in which you’ll find this figure in the corner of the bin.
MYSTERIOUS SYMBOL – ELDER SCROLLS
Available in Chapter 12: As soon as you wake up in your house in this chapter, you’ll need to explore the upstairs office at the room right at the top of the stairs. You’ll be able to find the symbol sitting on the sideboard.
MYSTERIOUS MUG – PREY
Available in Chapter 13 – You’ll find this one straight after you meet Yukiko in the lobby of the Sanctuary Hotel. You’ll find it behind the reception desk and see the mug sitting right there on the red counter.
MYSTERIOUS TOY – THE EVIL WITHIN
Available in Chapter 17 – You’ll find this when Sebastian enters his house on the snowscape. Turn right straight away and head into the living room. You’ll find the toy on the big shelf against the wall next to the kitchen.
