The Evil Within 2’s Free First-Person Update Looks Scary As Hell

It’s been out for some time now, but The Evil Within 2 just got a free update that allows players to play the entirety of the game in first-person.

Now, being a Shinji Mikami brainchild, it was already considerably unnerving and it’s safe to say that playing it in first-person looks flat out ‘nope’.

In this setting, the game’s atmosphere looks thick enough to cut with a knife. Hopefully, this goes a long way to convincing people who aren’t fans of the traditional over-the-shoulder viewpoint to give this game a go. Plus, it opens the door for those who’ve already sampled the madness to return and experience it from a fresh perspective.

It’s available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for free.
