It’s only been a few days, but some clever people have already worked out how to get golden tools in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
HOW TO GET THE GOLDEN TOOLS IN ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS
So far, we know how to get the Golden Axe, Golden Fishing Rod, Golden Bug Net, Golden Watering Can and Golden Shovel. The only one that isn’t 100% clear yet is the Golden Slingshot (although we think we know how to get that one).
- How To Get The Golden Axe: You will need to break 100 axes to get the Golden Axe. Obviously, the easiest way to do this is by creating flimsy axes, which will break the quickest.
- How To Get The Golden Fishing Rod: You’ll need to catch all the fish to get the Golden Fishing Rod. This will obviously take a while to do (if you’re not time traveling) but visiting friends who are using the opposite hemisphere will help
- How To Get The Golden Bug Net: You’ll need to catch all the bugs to get the Golden Bug Net. This will obviously take a while to do (if you’re not time traveling) but visiting friends who are using the opposite hemisphere will help
- How To Get The Golden Watering Can: You need to earn a five star rating for your town from Isabelle to get the Golden Watering Can
- How To Get The Golden Shovel: Help Gulliver 30 times when you come across him on your island to get the Golden Shovel
- How To Get The Golden Slingshot (NOT CONFIRMED): The belief is that you need to shoot down 100 balloons in order to get the Golden Slingshot

DO GOLDEN TOOLS BREAK?
It’s worth pointing out that while golden tools will get things done quicker, they will still annoyingly break, which is quite painful given you need one golden nugget as well as an existing tool to create each golden tool (and these aren’t easy to get).
