A Quicker Way To Solve That Music Box Puzzle Inside House Beneviento In Resident Evil Village

House Beneviento is one of my favourite moments in Resident Evil Village, perhaps so much so that I wish it went on for a little longer.

But there’s one point in the whole sequence where you might get stuck, or budding speedrunners might just want a bit of a leg up.

I considered covering how to get through the entirety of House Beneviento, but I felt that would ruin almost too much of the surprises. House Beneviento is best experienced blind, as so much of what it throws at you is so out of left field, both from a story and a gameplay perspective, that I feel it would ruin the experience a little too much if you knew what was coming.

Instead, here’s an easy visual guide for what you need to work towards when you take your Winding Key to the Music Box in House Beneviento. The Music Box is a little bit frustrating if you keep trying to brute force it, and it’s one of those puzzles that is messy for good reason, but also messy to the point where it might be hard for some players to properly execute it quickly.

You’re working towards your music box to look like the following:

Essentially, you want to line up the scratch on the far right-hand side with the edge – and then create these shapes and scratches as seen above.
