Hidetaka Miyazaki (Director of Demon’s/Dark Souls) Appointed President Of From Software

Demon’s/Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki has been announced as company president of From Software, in a post released on the company’s website which you can read here. If you can’t read Japanese you can find the translation here, or run the original page through Google Translate if you’re feeling brave.

Miyazaki was coined as the creative director and largely what made the original Dark Souls/Demon’s Souls so memorable.

Recent backlash of Dark Souls II being made by a ‘B-team’ has come into fruition by players, as it is speculated that the majority that worked on the first two titles are working on a new IP, rumoured to be the PlayStation 4 exclusive Project Beast. All of this is just speculation of course, but it’s clear that Miyazaki has been working on something once he stepped down from Dark Souls II.
