Well Trainers, we’re just over halfway into Pokémon’s 20th Anniversary celebrations, which means there’s a new mythical Pokémon to grab!
From July 1 to 24, players can grab the elusive Shaymin, a grass-type legendary that comes with the ability “Natural Cure”. Already at Level 100, Shaymin is obtainable via the Mystery Gift option on copies of Pokémon X and Y, as well as Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Get in as soon as you can though, because once it’s gone, there might not be another chance!
Taking this Pokémon to a special location in Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire will also unlock a form change ability for Shaymin, so be sure to look out for it!
To download Shaymin onto your cartridge, select “Mystery Gift” when starting the game, and follow the prompts to “Get via Internet”. From there, pick up your new friend at any Pokémon Centre within the game.
