After we initially reported that the first shipment of the Nintendo Classic Mini: NES had sold out at EB Games, it now appears that EB have sold out of their second shipment and are unclear about whether they’ll be getting anymore. They’ve changed the thumbnail on the product page to ‘Sold Out’ and you can no longer add the item to cart at all.
The online JB Hi Fi product listing has yet to return either. It is unclear whether other retailers will be stocking the product later this year.
It seems incredibly odd that the system is already so understocked. One would assume that the idea behind this product is that it’s an easy-sell in the lead up to Christmas, so I wouldn’t have expected that it’d sell out before release.
