Melbourne is getting Australia’s first esports bar. It’s exactly the same as a regular sports bar except there’s professional gaming being played on the big screen.
It’s called GG EZ (obviously and It’s opening in late August on Queen Street and it’ll have glorious cocktails created by Lachlan McAlister. McAlister was responsible for curating the food and drink available at ‘Thank You Come Again’ venues like Mr Wow’s Emporium.
There’s not a whole lot more information outside if that at the moment, but it’ll definitely be cool to see how it comes together. Esports is definitely on the rise in Australia with a number of AFL teams expressing interest in esports teams.
