The Games With Gold initiative hasn’t always delivered the goods, but with January’s lineup having been revealed, it’s exciting to see it is headlined by a particular indie hit from 2018.
First out the door is Celeste, developed by Matt Makes Games, which will be available for free for the entirety of January, while WRC 6 will be available between January 16 and February 15 so if you’re a rally car aficionado don’t sleep on that one.
The Xbox 360 titles to compliment Games With Gold next month are set to be Lara Croft: Guardian of Light, available for the first half of the month before the sorely underrated Far Cry 2 takes over for the second half. Both games will be backwards compatible for Xbox One, of course.
If you haven’t already, three of December’s four games can still be downloaded before the month is out.
