Puma’s New Sonic Collection Is Pretty Damn Nice

The Sonic x Puma collection has launched in parts of the world just a week before the brand new Sonic the Hedgehog movie launches in cinemas. You can find the full collection HERE.

The heart of the collection is the two limited edition colourways for Puma’s 80s inspired RS-X3 Puzzle sneakers. The sneakers are armed with a chunky sole, molded tread, a padded tongue and cuff for comfort and of course, PUMA RS-X, Running System technology designed for extra cushioning.

The first of the brand new colourways appear to be inspired by Sonic himself with gold, blue and red accents decorating the white shoe. The second looks to be a Shadow inspired designed with ‘high-risk red’ and gold accents on the black shoe.

Both designs are embellished with golden rings and score print on the heel, checked detailing, motion graphics, and other iconic elements from the game as well as PUMA x SONIC RS-X branding on the tongue tab.

In addition, the complete collection features t-shirts, hoodies and other apparel available in both men’s and children’s sizing. Some of our favourite pieces include this allover print t-shirt and this simple but stylish hedgehog blue hooded sweatshirt.

Unfortunately, we don’t yet have any details about the Australian release date or pricing of the collection but based on similar releases and conversion rates, the RS-X3 designs will likely be around the AUD$170 mark with the t-shirts around AUD$59 and the hoodie closer to AUD$100.
