It had been rumoured for some time, and today, Netflix has announced the launch of Netflix Games, a new service that will provide games inside of your standard Netflix experience starting tomorrow.
In its current state, Netflix Games will only be available on Android devices inside the app, and it’s launching alongside the below five games:
- Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP)
- Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP)
- Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop)
- Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games)
- Teeter Up (Frosty Pop
Netflix has confirmed that it will continue to create games and roll the service out to more platforms. Currently, any country that has a Netflix will be able to access this service on an Android device.
Obviously the current offering is quite light, but Netflix has proven that it can pump out massive amounts of content and now has some of the biggest IP in entertainment, so it’ll be interesting to see how they utilise this.
?? Let the Games Begin??
Tomorrow, Netflix Games will start rolling out on the Netflix mobile app. First on Android, with iOS on the way.
It’s early days, but we’re excited to start bringing you exclusive games, with no ads, no additional fees and no in-app purchases. pic.twitter.com/ofNGF4b8At
