Koch Media might not have the same household recognition of the likes of PlayStation, Nintendo, Ubisoft and EA, but just take one look at their 2022 line-up and it’s easy to see why this year is set to be their biggest yet.
With games from huge franchises such as Star Wars, Batman, Suicide Squad, Harry Potter, Spongebob Squarepants, Destroy All Humans and Saints Row all hitting this year, it’s not hard to see why this year is really set to be a massive one, which they’re clearly embracing as they celebrate their third birthday.
After acquiring Australian publisher 18point2 in 2019, they’ve gone onto release 180 titles under the Koch ANZ label including new franchises such as Hot Wheels Unleashed and Let’s Sing 2022. This is thanks to a number of partners including Warner Bros Games, THQ Nordic, Techland as well as internal teams such as Deep Silver, Prime Matter and Milestone
To celebrate the company’s third birthday here in Australia, they’re giving away prize packs including a Dying Light 2 Collector’s Edition, Koch game packs and more. You can find a couple of those at the tweets below.

SOME OF KOCH’S EPIC GAMES FOR 2022
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
It feels like it’s been a long, long time coming but 2022 will be the year we finally get the most ambitious LEGO video game yet. Throwing out the linear structure and pulled-back camera of previous games, The Skywalker Saga features an over-the-shoulder camera, expanded combat and an open-ended campaign spanning the nine Skywalker Saga films.

Gotham Knights
WB Games Montreal is tackling the open world Gotham template established by Rocksteady with a multi-character action adventure where a second player can drop in at anytime for co-operative play. Playing as Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood players will face off against the secretive Court of Owls and restore justice to Gotham City.

Hogwarts Legacy
Portkey Games has been radio silent about its highly-anticipated take on the Harry Potter universe, likely for very obvious reasons, but hopefully the game manages to reappear this year and separate itself from controversy enough that fans can enjoy a gorgeous, open-world action RPG set in the beloved universe.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Meanwhile, Rocksteady is tackling a different band of anti-heroes in the Suicide Squad. Unlike Gotham Knights, this one’s actually set in the Batman: Arkham universe, albeit from a different perspective, and will see players take on the roles of Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and King Shark – switching between them at will in single player or playing with up to three others to fill out the entire team.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human
Dying Light was a surprise hit for many, combining first-person parkour gameplay with a tense, zombie-filled open world survival horror game that only got scarier when day turned to night. Dying Light 2 looks to expand on everything that made the original compelling while fleshing out its world and narrative and giving players even more tools to tackle both the undead and the very much alive.

Saints Row
A total franchise reboot in a series that had maxed out its ‘wackiness’ factor two games ago, Saints Row looks like just the shake-up the series needed. With its most diverse locale yet, a new band of entertaining main characters and more options for customisation and carnage than ever this should be the perfect thing for those of us missing the fun factor of the open-world crime sims of yore.

You’d struggle to find a game on that list that we’re not looking forward to and you’ll definitely hear us talking about them quite a bit throughout the year.
