Obviously, Mass Effect is a phenomenal game that remains awarded and praised to this day. But leave it to 64 Bits to demake the game and leave me wishing it came out for Nintendo’s Gameboy Advance handheld instead.
As part of a series that sees them hand-animate short demakes of classic games. That, of course, means the games aren’t playable, nor will they ever be.
“Advanced Effect” sees the game adapted into a more tactical, turn-based role-playing game which, I’ve got to say, suits it to a tee.
The brief video shows off what the mission to Virmire might have looked like, complete with a skirmish with Saren leading to his retreat, and it’s unsurprisingly cool as heck.
