Capcom Has Announced Its Tokyo Game Show Plans Including Two Livestreamed Shows

I hope you like Street Fighter

Capcom has jumped in as one of the first publishers to announce its Tokyo Game Show 2022 plans, revealing that it’ll be hosting a booth with playable titles at TGS in-person as well as running two livestreamed showcases for the rest of the world.

The first of its streams will be a pre-recorded presentation featuring announcements and showcases of Capcom titles. Though it hasn’t been announced yet which games will be shown we know from the official Capcom website’s TGS page that at least Exoprimal, Street Fighter 6 and Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will be playable at TGS so presumably will pop up in the video as well.

The first stream will be live at the following local times:

  • AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane/Canberra) – 00:00am Friday September 16th
  • ACST (Adelaide/Darwin) – 11:30pm Thursday September 15th
  • AWST (Perth) – 10:00pm Thursday September 15th

The second livestream event will focus entirely on Capcom’s big hitter, Street Fighter 6, and will presumably reveal more fighters and extra info on the game.

The Street Fighter 6 stream will be live at the following local times:

  • AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane/Canberra) – 001:00am Saturday September 17th
  • ACST (Adelaide/Darwin) – 00:30am Saturday September 17th
  • AWST (Perth) – 11:00pm Friday September 16th

Tokyo Game Show is back to being an in-person event for both press and general public this year, taking place from Thursday, September 15 to Sunday, September 18 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City. We’ll continue to bring you coverage of TGS leading up to and during the event.
