The Game Awards has come and gone again for 2022, and among the hype and celebration of games released this year as well as games coming in the future, there were of course a bevy of well-deserved wins for titles and teams from across the globe.
The big news is, of course, the win for Elden Ring which was crowned Game of the Year for 2022.
On-stage at The Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, the game’s director Hidetaka Miyazaki accepted the award, thanking the team for what was a challenging development. Miyazaki also said he plans to make many games even more interesting than Elden Ring, and has future plans for the game itself.
