Elden Ring’s Game Of The Year Win Was Interrupted By A Stage Invader

An awkward ending to a great show.

This year’s The Game Awards live show out of Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles was a mostly hitch-free event, bringing plenty of recognition to the industry and giving gamers across the world their first looks at a number of new titles.

Unfortunately, the big finale which saw the team at FromSoftware take out the Game of the Year award for Elden Ring, was soured by a stage invader who managed to sneak onto stage alongside the accepting developers and remained there for the duration of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s speech.

After the award had been accepted and speeches ended, the stranger took to the microphone and announced, “I want to thank everybody and say I think I want to nominate my reformed Orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton.”
