Don’t Forget: Episode Five Of HBO’s The Last Of Us Has Dropped Early

To make way for the superb owl.

Update: As promised, episode 5 of The Last of Us has dropped early and is out now!

HBO’s The Last of Us is available to stream on both Binge and Foxtel.

Binge is available starting from $10 per month for standard definition streaming, $16 per month for high definition and up two devices simultaneously, or $18 per month for high definition and up four devices simultaneously. All three tiers have a 14-day free trial available for new users – you can sign up here.

Foxtel will also have the series via FOX Showcase, which all subscribers of Foxtel or Foxtel NOW will be able to access as part of the base subscription. Like Binge, a free trial is also available for new users to Foxtel NOW, for 10 days – take a look at that here.

HBO has announced that the next episode of its TV adaptation of The Last of Us will premiere earlier than expected.

Instead of the usual Monday, 1PM AEDT time, the fifth episode of The Last of Us is scheduled to drop on Saturday, February 11th in the same 1PM AEDT slot.

You can see a teaser of the episode below:

No reason was given for the last-minute change, but it’s probably safe to say that the early release has something to do with the NFL Super Bowl, which kicks off at 10:30AM AEDT on Monday, Feb 13th, just a couple hours before the episode was originally scheduled to premiere.

The Last of Us has completely captured audiences since its debut, posting some incredible early numbers and dominating conversations with its incredible third episode. We’ve seen the series in full and you can read our spoiler-free review of the entire nine-episode run here.

You can watch The Last of Us on Foxtel and Binge. Head here to see the full series schedule – now updated to reflect this newest change.

The show was also just renewed for a second season after drawing record-breaking numbers for HBO, and our latest peek into the upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer game has us believing it could be a two-player cooperative experience.
