EB Games Is Taking Pre-Orders For Resident Evil: The Board Game

Coming in October!

EB Games has opened up pre-orders for Resident Evil: The Board Game, the official Capcom-licensed board game from Steamforged Games, based on the 2002 remake of the classic survival horror game, as well as the Resident Evil: Into The Darkness Board Game Expansion.

Both are set to hit local stores on October 10th, with EB seemingly the only local retailer to be offering pre-sales of the board game for an Aussie release (that we can see so far). Kickstarter-exclusive versions of the game started rolling out in recent months for those who backed the project originally.

You can grab both from the below:

Resident Evil: The Board Game is a cooperative campaign game where 1-4 players take on the roles of Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, or Barry Burton and navigate an open world filled with horrifying enemies on the hunt for survivors and other prizes. It features suspenseful and unsettling scenarios, puzzles, tough choices and perhaps even some scares?

The game was a Kickstarter success for regular video game-to-board game adaptation creators, Steamforged, drumming up a whopping ~$2.7 million in funding for its ~$190,000 original goal.

Sent to investigate a series of bizarre murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City, your search for answers led you deep into a foreboding forest, shrouded in mist… but the gloom is the least of your concerns.

Attacked by rabid monsters, you’re forced to flee into a sprawling mansion that looms on the horizon. But as you stand in the main hall, gasping for breath, an uncomfortable truth hits home. There are only four of you left.

Is your mission still to investigate the bloody murders and find your missing teammates? or is it simply to escape with your life?
