Fans of Magic: The Gathering and Lord of the Rings were sent into a frenzy earlier this year when the very special Tales of Middle Earth set was released, not just because the collaboration yielded some gorgeous cards based on the iconic property but thanks to the introduction of one of the game’s rarest-ever cards, a one-of-one serialised foil print of The One Ring card, printed in the Black Speech of Sauron using Tengwar letterforms
The card was first reported as being found back in late July, and now the lucky finder has come forth to not only reveal who they are but to announce that none other than award-winning musician and known Magic enthusiast, Post Malone, has purchase the card from them.
The card was graded at a 9 out of 10, but valued at over $2 million USD due to it being one of only a handful of 1:1 Magic card prints in the game’s history (and a Lord of the Rings-themed one at that), and its first owner Brook Trafton posted an emotional video on TikTok showing the meet with Post Malone and the life-changing transaction:

But for a guy like me, being able to sell it is life changing. I just really hoped it would go to someone who would appreciate it as much as I do. Trafton’s heartfelt caption under their TikTok video reads, “When I found the One Ring, the first person who came to mind was Post Malone.
