EA Sports FC Mobile Has Been Revealed Along With Its “Cover” Star

It sounds better than "App Icon Star" I guess?

EA is keeping the hype train going for its rebranded, post-FIFA football series, EA Sports FC, with the announcement of a new mobile entry – aptly titled EA Sports FC Mobile.

This new game is set to launch next month on September 26th, and will come as an update to the existing 100 million people who EA says actively play FIFA Mobile already, as well as a free download for everyone else across Android and iOS.

EA Sports FC Mobile even has a “cover star” in Real Madrid’s Vini Jr., who will presumably feature heavily on the game’s app icon and/or in its menus. EA said in a statement, “We are pleased to announce Vini Jr. as the official cover athlete of EAS FC Mobile. A global star who’s burst onto the footballing scene with Real Madrid, Vini Jr. exemplifies the values of energy, skill, and creativity, while also having a knack for the spectacular.”

“I’m excited to be featured as the cover star for EA SPORTS FC MOBILE and look forward to sharing this excitement with fans worldwide,” added Vini Jr himself. “Football is more than just a sport, and to play a part in inviting more people into this celebration is a dream.”

EA Sports FC Mobile promises over 18,000 players across 650 teams and more than 30 leagues, with enhanced on-pitch gameplay, a centralised customisation hub and “immersive broadcast experience.”
