The nominations for 2023’s round of the Geoff Keighley-led The Game Awards are in, and after what’s been an absolute belter of a year for top-notch new game releases it’s no surprise to see a stacked line-up of games get nods across the various categories. Unsurprisingly, both Alan Wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 have absolutely dominated the nominations, with games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom always having been expected to enter the race but now facing some serious competition.
The Game Awards will kick off on December 8th (AEDT) at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles as well as streamed around the world at 11:30am – 3:00pm (AEDT).
