V Rising, the vampire survival action RPG that took the world by storm back in 2022 and has continued its success since (including an upcoming PS5 launch), is about to get one hell of a crossover with another iconic and vampiric video game franchise, Castlevania. Only this time the Belmonts are the bad guys.
“The mighty hero of the Belmont Clan, Simon Belmont, is here to challenge all of Vampire kind,” V Rising developer Stunlock Studios wrote in a Steam update announcing the news. “Wielding his legendary Vampire Killer and an infamous arsenal of holy weaponry, no night stalker will be safe from his righteous crusade through Vardoran. Defeat him and unlock the secrets of a brand new weapon, the whip, adapting new combat abilities that embody the grace and precision of the deadly Vampire hunter!”
While every V Rising player will have the opportunity to face the mighty Simon Belmont come May 8th, a special Legacy of Castlevania Premium Pack DLC will also be available to purchase, and will allow players to construct castles with Castlevania-inspired style (complete with classic musical themes to make the ambience perfect), cosplay as legendary Castlevania characters and even ride a new skeletal mount.
